Master of Arts in Liturgy
The Master of Arts in Liturgy degree is designed to give the student the knowledge and skills necessary to be director of liturgy, particularly in a parish setting. This is one of five new degree options for students who are interested in preparing for ministry in specialized fields.
Of the required 36 credit-hours of study, at least 24 hours must be completed in residence (traditional classroom setting) with an option to complete the other 12 hours in either online or blended courses, as available. In addition to the necessary coursework, all students are required to participate in the appropriate spiritual formation program offered at CTU.
Educational goals and outcomes for students:
- To evidence progress toward a coherent and personally integrated theological vision for liturgical ministry
- To demonstrate ability to work out of a collaborative paradigm for ministry
- To articulate knowledge of the Roman Catholic liturgical tradition past and present
